Aduana Stars FC
Aduana Stars FC have made history as the first team from the Brong-Ahafo Region and more importantly the first team to win the Ghanaian Premier League on the first attempt. Hitherto, no team apart from Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak had won the league in 14 years.
Aduana Stars FC is the traditional team of the Dormaa Traditional Area and it is based in Dormaa-Ahenkro in the Brong-Ahafo Region. They were promoted into the league for the first time in 2009 and I believe they have showed the way for all newly promoted sides.
Aduana won the league with an outstanding record. Having conceded 10 goals and scored only 19 goals, they remained unbeaten at home.
Kudos to the players, technical team and management for bringing the team this far. I think the life patron of the team; the Dormahene Osagyefo Oseadeyo Agyeman Badu II deserves a lot of credit too.
